Maijishan Grottoes Introduction Maijishan Grottoes was built in the post-Qin period (384-417 years) of the 16th Kingdom. It has been excavated and rebuilt in more than ten dynasties, including Northern Wei, Western Wei, Beizhou, Yuan, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing, etc. There are 221 existing large and small caves, and 10632 statues of various types.
