Maju Deval: Maju Deval has nine steps, perhaps the most frequented place in the city. The huge temple has three floors with adorable carvings. The temple was built in 1690 by the Queen Mother of Bactapu. Despite the statue of the Shiva god, the temple's top imitates the pagoda of Buddhist architecture. At the end of the steps, there is also a small temple dedicated to the god of Shiva's partner Kam Dev. This small temple is Indian style with a tall corn-like top.
