2024.4.16 Manting Royal Garden, located on Manting Road, Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna, was formerly the Yuwang Royal Garden, built in the 8th century Yu Dynasty (1286-1345), and still has the legend of the garden of the Princess of the Yu. Rebuilt on the Yu Garden site in 1982. Manting Park covers an area of more than 400 mu, is the oldest park in Xishuangbanna, Yi people are used to call it "chunhuan", meaning "the garden of the soul", formerly the imperial garden of Xishuangbanna king. The park has a national cultural square, vine plant area, tropical orchid, peacock garden, Buddhist cultural area, tree planting memorial area and other eight regional parks in the central part of the national cultural square. Premier Zhou Enlai attended the Songkran Festival in the park in 1961. The highlight of Manting Park is the "Lancang River Mekong Night" singing and dancing bonfire party, showing the characteristics of the Xishuangbanna minority, and at the same time integrating the five national characteristics of Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam, reflecting the blend of multiculturalism of "one river and six countries".
