Monument to Alfonso XII Review

Located on the edge of the artificial lake, Alfonso XII attracted many tourists to check in. This is a very important historical figure for the Spaniard. The whole surrounding buildings are basically centered on this.

The magnificent statue on the East Bank of the lake is Alfonso's 12th century monument. The two groups of statues are the army image carved by Jos Montserrat (north side) and the Navy image carved by Mateo Inurrria (south side). It's also great to sit and watch the boating on the lake.

The statue next to the artificial lake is a monument to King Alfonso XII, built in 1922 to commemorate the king who laid the current Spanish political party system through the 1876 constitution.
