Situated on the top of Calton Hill, there is nothing that sets this monument apart that makes it worthy a visit on its own accord but as part of the sculptures and structures sitting atop the hill it makes for great vistas and puts in context the history of the city.

You'll see such a beautiful place in Carlton Hill. I've been there twice and I think it looks good. It was built in memory of Admiral Nelson. Every afternoon at 1 p.m. when the cannon fired at Edinburgh Castle, the small ball at the top of the Nelson Monument would fall.

The very tall and magnificent monument on the top of the hill to commemorate General Nelson, who died in the naval battle in Trafalgar, requires tickets to climb up to the top of the monument to see scenery several times more beautiful than that under the monument.

Nelson Monument. It is said that it was built in memory of Admiral Nelson. Every afternoon at 1 p.m. when the cannon fired at Edinburgh Castle, the small ball at the top of the Nelson Monument would fall. It's very close to the city centre. It's accessible on foot. The scenery is very good.

Visiting Carlton Hill in Edinburgh, there are many famous buildings on the top of the hill. The Nelson Monument is located on the top of Carlton Hill, 171 meters above sea level in Edinburgh, Scotland. It was built from 1807 to 1815 to commemorate the defeat of French and Spanish fleets in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, but I was shot and killed by Marine Lieutenant General Horachaw Nelson. Nelson's Monument stands with the National Monument on the top of Carlton Hill, overlooking Edinburgh in silence...

The Nelson Monument is located on the hillside of Carlton Hill, next to the National Monument. It was built in memory of Lieutenant General Nelson. This is the best place to enjoy Edinburgh's night view. It's a scenic spot worth visiting.

Trafalgar Square is located in the centre of London. It was built to commemorate the famous naval battle in Trafalgar Harbor. In the center of the square stands a monument and bronze statue of British Navy General Nelson. There are also very strange finger sculptures. Every day, tourists from all over the world gather here. The square is very busy and mixed. Considering the recent series of horror events in London, I have no intention to appreciate the square like a big market, and I want to leave the crowded place quickly.

Nelson Monument is located on Carlton Hill in Edinburgh. It is a simple and magnificent monument that can be seen on Royal Mile Street. The monument commemorates Nelson, a Scottish hero who led the army to defeat the six French and Spanish allies. The monument looks old, but it can still top it for five pounds. The advantage of climbing the top is that you can overlook the city 360 degrees from the highest point in Edinburgh.
