A really cool museum tucked away in one of my favorite Seattle neighborhoods, Ballard. The whole area was founded as a working class community for Scandinavian dock workers, and this museum helps to keep that part of Seattle's history alive with some really cool exhibits. I like all the old viking stuff, showing how Nordic ancestors used to build boats, explore new lands, build their own homes and of course, wear helmets with horns on them. I also just think the building itself is really cool and well kept up, to compliment the fascinating exhibits.

Stunning architecture! The exhibits were interesting, interactive and easy to follow. Great history of the Nordic countries pre-vikings.

In the Nordic Museum of Traditional History, you can see the Nordic culture and art works, the unique dolls and daily necessities are worth to appreciate. Feeling Nordic culture and local food can be found in this museum.

The museum is divided into three layers. The first layer mainly shows the process of immigration, the second layer shows fisheries and logging, and the third layer shows the similarities and differences of the five immigrant countries in Europe. There are long-term exhibition halls and temporary exhibition halls. The long-term exhibition hall is themed by each country. It is divided into six exhibition rooms, including the American Dream, the Danish exhibition hall, the Finnish exhibition hall, the Icelandic exhibition hall, the Norwegian exhibition hall and the Swedish exhibition hall. And the impact of industry on the United States. The exhibits in the museum include handicrafts, textiles, three-dimensional models, clothing, tools, furniture and so on.
