The Palais des Nations is a famous building in Geneva, Switzerland. It is located on the shore of Lake Geneva on the northeastern outskirts of Geneva and is far from the winding Alps. It is surrounded by green trees and has a beautiful environment. The Palais des Nations, also known as the League of Nations, is the headquarters of the predecessor of the United Nations, and is now the United Nations Office at Geneva, also known as the United Nations European Headquarters. The Palais des Nations consists of four magnificent buildings, the General Assembly Hall in the center, the Library and New Building on the north side, and the Council Hall on the south side, together with gardens and courtyards, covering an area of 2.5 square kilometers.
