To the front of the square opposite the main entrance of the palace, there are large old buildings on both sides. Walk through a craftsmanship lamp post on the square, to the other end is the "Saint-31" Memorial pillar. Back, to the right is a row of three-storey buildings with courtyards. There are guides to explain to foreign tour groups. This is the newly renovated Prague Castle Gallery. It contains many classical paintings, beginning in the 16th century and mainly from the 16th to 18th centuries. It includes works of artists from Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and other countries. There are more than 4,000 paintings. The original site of Prague Castle Gallery is the castle stables. In the process of rebuilding it into a castle gallery, the oldest church in Prague Castle - St. Daughter's Church was excavated. Some relics were stored in the castle gallery.
