Rheinauhafen is the former dock area and harbour area that is always a joy to visit on any holiday I take to Cologne, as I always tend to visit Cologne over the Christmas period I always look forward to visiting the wonderful Harbour Christmas Market which is superb,the wonderful Chocolate Museum is also here as are some interesting museums ,the most defining structures along Rgeinauhafen are the Kranhauser buildings, look amazing, walking along the Rheinauhaden are some great reminders of the docks that once operated here ,theres some great vintage cranes that look cool ,add to this the cafe's,bars and restaurants along this walkway and you have a really pleasant place to visit.Easy to locate along Am Zollhafen,most definitely well worth checking out if your in the area.

A very modern area in Cologne, just on the banks of the Rhine River, a long area, many buildings are very advanced design style, similar to a huge tower crane, the hotel, restaurant, cafe here are very good, there are shopping and leisure entertainment good place. Cologne Promenade (Rheinauhafen) In the historic seaport area, it is an international promenade that shows the modern style of Cologne, Germany's oldest city, and quickly becomes the gathering place of the city's creative landscape. At the center of the promenade are three spectacular crane houses designed by architects Bot, Rickett and Bott Haerani from Hamburg, Germany, reflecting the harmonious coexistence of traditional style and modern elements.

The road is rugged along the Rhine River. In summer, the surrounding area of the river is cool, so it is a must-do course.
