Ryusen is a place of inspiration for musicians. Mendelssohn liked to wander among the lakeside mountains of Ryusen and wrote many works which were handed down from generation to generation. His final work, String Quartet No. 6, was completed in Ryusen two months before his death. Wagner spent six years in Ryusen, where he harvested love (Liszt's daughter), and created many famous works such as Nuremberg singers, Nibelungen's rings, Ziegfried's pastoral songs, etc. Now, Wagner's former residence on the lakeside is the Wagner Museum, and a road on the lakeside is named after him. Rachmaninov also has a special love for Ryusen, where he created a passionate Paganini theme fantasy.
