As contemporary art gets a bit weird in here, I wasn't totally into everything on display at the Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Center. But there were a few series which I really enjoyed. Free entry with the Budapest Card means you can just drop in and spend time examining what you like the best.

A friend and I had a very nice visit to the center. The building is currently under restoration so finding the entrance was a bit tricky. The staff was nice and welcoming. The Capa photojournalist exhibition was excellent. We didn’t find the Haiku exhibition to be that interesting but the the Capa was so good that it was worth the visit. The center is small and well air conditioned so it was a wonderful break from the busy and hot metropolis. Only wish they had books in the shop about Capa in English. It is not allowed to take photos in the exhibitions!

A new and modern visual arts institute, the Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Center was opened in Budapest in December 2013. It's a good place to see the side of modern photography in the city.
