An excellent Catholic cathedral, perhaps not as large as others, but the best kind of people. There is a tour on Wednesdays at 1:00, and be sure to see if there are any public music programs before visiting town. The space is superb for chamber music of many kinds, plus there are two organs built in. For holidays they do four different choirs at each end of the cruciform church. Unlike the common church or temple building with an altar at the far end of a rectangular room, this church has a simple altar at intersection of a cross-shaped space, making the character of a service more about a celebration of faith than a collection of relics and art. There are relics here also, so for the religious this an be an interesting pilgrimage. Catholics should not miss this one.
