St. Andrew Presbyterian Church is located in Simco Street, downtown Toronto. It has a long history of the Roman Renaissance Presbyterian Church. Founded in 1830, Presbyterianism was the first Scottish Presbyterian church organization in Yorktown. The church was situated at the southwest corner of Adelaide East Street. After the splitting of the Presbyterian Church in Scotland in 1843, some of the followers who supported the Free Church movement left. Another group led by St Andrew and Rev. James Harris founded the Presbyterian Church of Knox. Previous churches occupied a small area, so in 1876 they moved to the southeast corner of King and Simcoe Streets Streets. This westward movement caused a lot of controversy, which also led to the division of the church. One Group continued to use the old church, known as the Old St. Andrews, which moved to the new site near Jarvis Street in 1878 and developed into the St. Andrews Union in 1951. The other group, which also retained its main followers, moved to the new Scottish Roman Church and became the New St. Andrews.

They put a sign on the street inviting people to come in, they have a shelter and a museum, and they also prepare an event meal for the homeless. The church has no grand murals, though, and people passing it when they are home on the street know it is a church, a place to get a break in the busy downtown.

Shame on you, this church was the first church I took after I came to Toronto, but I didn't know it was called St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church until today, and I thought it was a good spot to shoot with the Cn Tower

The advantage of Trip.com is that some unknown attractions can sometimes know their names. St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church taught me that I was deeply attracted to the first time I saw it, and I could take pictures of the cn tower from front of it. It was a very interesting attraction.

If you want to go to St Andrew ' ' s church, just take the subway yellow line to St Andrew. That's it. Very tall, solemn and magnificent. Across the road is Roy Thomson Hall.
