St. George's Convent Review

In fact, I don't know what the abbey is doing, just follow the crowd to see it. The building outside is quite beautiful, and there is a small garden. The interior is dark and empty.

The Convent of St. George is located in Prague Castle, right next to St. George's Church with its red exterior wall. This is the first female monastery in Bohemia. It was built in 973 by the order of Poleslav II, whose sister was the first president of the monastery. Now there is no monastery function, but instead the National Gallery, which collects many works of different styles in different periods, such as the Czech Renaissance and Baroque from the 14th to 17th centuries.

The Convent of St. George is right next to St. George's Church. There are no nuns now and it has been converted into an exhibition hall. However, due to the lack of interest in these exhibitions, so did not go to visit.

It is the first monastery in Bohemia. It has a large collection of Czech art works, including Gothic art, Renaissance, Baroque and other paintings of different periods. The monastery is a well-preserved imitation of the Roman church. The interior is also very characteristic and worth visiting.

The Convent of St. George is in Prague Castle and adjacent to St. George's Church, one of the attractions on the tour ticket. St. George's Abbey and St. George's Cathedral have the same color and red and beige walls, making St. George's Cathedral and St. George's Abbey the only brighter and more conspicuous buildings in Prague Castle. Today, St. George's Monastery has been converted into an exhibition hall, but because the package ticket does not contain the visiting items of St. George's Monastery, it has not been visited.
