St. Michael's Church Review

A very well preserved church. We enjoyed the beautiful interior and tagged along to a tourist group. The lift was out of order so we couldn’t go to the observation platform.

St. Michel's Cathedral is Hamburg's most famous church and the city's main landmark. It is a baroque building. Above the main entrance is a large bronze sculpture showing St. Michel's victory over the devil. The tower is 132 meters high and very majestic.

It's really good, I have a chance to go and see it together.

The whole building of St. Michelle's Church is in Baroque style. The most prominent one is the copper-green bell tower. The top of the tower goes straight into the clouds. It can climb stairs or take an elevator to reach the watchtower at the top of the bell tower. It is highly recommended to climb the tower 360 degrees to overlook the whole city center of Hamburg, the Elbe River or Lake Alster.

Hamburg's iconic St. Michelle's Church stands on a 106-meter-high spire in the dark, surrounded by no barriers, overlooking the whole city, with a unique flavor.
