Stone Forest Review

The park is very well maintained and handrails made the climb easy for the young and old alike:The sights are worth braving the rain.The beautiful sound of the Chinese flute bounced off the stone forest; creating beautiful and soul ful acoustics. The Yi tribe people would dance and play music in the open areas.

The stone forest of Kunming belongs to one of Unesco site, is located in Shilin and can be reach easily by bus from Kunming city or taxi.We were here last year with a friend in wheelchair, and surprisingly the trip went very well. There are attentive English speaking guides, clean toilets and other facilities which makes the trip for my friend easier. The nature scenery (rocks formation) is also a wonder.

3 months agoIt’s about 1.5 hours drive from the outskirts of Kunming city. Traveled with family. It was a good day when we arrived, despite the puddles & the bad weather we had a good time. Finally went to Shilin! Finally went to Shilin! Before and after Yunnan more than a dozen times, it was really the first time to go to Shilin, and completed the mother's heart-wrenching Ashima punch card! The key is to meet a good tour guide Shana, go out to play so many times, the first time I met such a strong affinity of the tour guide sister, she not only knows more, but also has a creative spirit, can flexibly apply knowledge in different fields to practical problems. The whole explanation process is really interesting, and you can also feel the knowledge accumulated by more than ten years of work experience! You must find Shana next time you come, and you must ask her if you come! ! ! The mountain topography is a magical stone mountain peak world for heaven and man~ I don’t say I regret it. Beautiful limestone scenic area. If you want to avoid the crowd, I mean if you want nearly nobody to visit the park you need to go outside tourists season

Stone Forest Scenic Area is located at the capital Kunming of Yunnan province. There consists of vast stones forest with waterfalls, lakes and caves.The visitation time is 8.30-6.00pm. Must wear sunscreen as the sunlight is very strong there!
