The Sun and Moon towers in Guilin, Guangxi, were built in the Xixia period. They were octagonal dense brick towers. The two towers faced each other from the east to the west. The height and shape were similar. They were all flat hexagonal pavilions. The east tower was 4 floors, about 18 meters high, and was built with small bricks.
