The Tibetan language of "Tagong" means "the place where Bodhisattva likes". Tagong Temple is one of the famous temples of Tibetan Buddhism Sakya, known as "Little Jokhang Temple", which has a high status in Tibetan Buddhism and is one of the holy places of Tibetan worship in Kangba. The temple is spectacular and has an ancient and long history. According to legend, in 641 AD, when Princess Wencheng entered Tibet and Songzan Ganbu married through this grass where the Muya lived, and saw the beautiful scenery of the grass here, he decided to build a temple here. Tagong Temple is a Tibetan Buddhist Sakya Oorba heritage monastery, which has a history of more than 1,000 years.
