Tong'an Confucian Temple is the only Confucian Temple in Xiamen. It is located on the West Bank of Dongxi in Tong'an County. It was built in the Five Dynasties. The existing building is the Dacheng Hall rebuilt during the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty. Now the Confucian Temple has become a museum in Tong'an District, displaying more than 200 pieces of stone carvings, inscriptions, different looks, lifelike shapes, exquisite craftsmanship collected from all parts of the county, which has been praised by visitors. It is known as "Tong'an Terracotta Warriors and Horses".
