In the middle of the busy street west of Moscow, there is a triumphal arch almost identical to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, but slightly smaller. It is surprising that both Arc de Triomphes were built to commemorate the same war, and to commemorate the defeat of Napoleon by the Russian army, perhaps the only historical example.
