The term Biennale, which is derived from Italian, refers to a biennial art exhibition. The Vancouver Biennale exhibits a series of laughing bronze sculptures from English Bay and used cars on a pile near Science World. On Granville Island, six large cement cans were transformed into vivid giant dolls and one of the exhibits.
