Xikou Wenchang Pavilion was built in Qinghui Zheng nine years, that is, 1731. It was once a place for literati gatherings such as Xikou Wenchang Association and Wenwu Association. In 1925, it was changed to Jiang Kaishi's private villa and library.

It used to be a monastery, but later Chiang Kai-shek bought it and became their husband and wife's residence in Xikou. The scenery is good, just by the small river, very distinctive, it is a good holiday house.

The original name of the small building of the stream is "Han Qi", commonly known as the small bungalow, built in 1930. Located on the east side of Wenchang Pavilion, the north mountain water, the western-style three-open flat top building, the roof balcony, the west Zhou cement railing, you can enjoy the cool moon. Out of the west side door, there is an open-air corridor Tong Wenchang Pavilion. Small bungalows lived in many Kuomintang VIPs. After the Xi'an incident, Chen Breiju wrote "Xi'an Half Moon Notes". In April of the next year, after returning from the Soviet Union, Jiang Jingguo lived here with Jiang Fangliang and his eldest son, Elun (Xiaowen), and read Chinese in class. Since then, Jiang Jingguo returned to Xikou to live here. 1 9 3 9 January February, Jiang Jingguo mourned the death of his mother Mao Fumei.
