Xiaoming Tower, located in Peixian County, Jiangsu Province, was built by French missionaries in the 1920s. It is one of the few Western-style buildings preserved in Xuzhou area. The building adopts the method of combining Chinese and Western culture, reflecting the situation of the Western cultural people in China at the beginning of the 20th century. Xiaoming Building, located on the campus of Peixian Junior Middle School, is a key cultural relic protection unit at the provincial level. Xiaoming Building in Peixian County has a unique architectural style. Basically, churches and ancillary facilities in other places are of western architectural style. Only Xiaoming Building in Peixian County has both western architectural features and Oriental Garden features, which are rare in China.
