During the Spring Festival, the trip to Zhanjiang, in addition to going to Huguangyan, and the most famous island in the local area, also went to the only Catholic church in the city center, now used to be called Xiashan Catholic Church, because it is located in Xiashan Mountain. In fact, its real name is St. Vidor Catholic Church. (History) was built, the church in the Qing Dynasty Guangxu years has a history of more than 100 years, can be said to be the oldest church in western Guangdong. The style of the church is a typical Gothic building, that is, the kind of church with two tables of minarets in front and four squares in the back. In southern China, in addition to the stone church in Guangzhou, the largest Gothic church in this church is counted. Outside is the main color of the gray, the colored windows are set in. Since it happened to be the Spring Festival when I came here, the outside was full of red lanterns, which is also a Chinese element, plus a perfect combination of Western churches. The periphery is a small garden, many green plants have automatic spraying systems. The church is still quite large. Because it is a characteristic gothic building, the roof is quite distinctive and the dome looks quite chic. There are not too many statues inside, it is relatively simple, and the pulpit is also relatively simple. (Coordinates) It’s not particularly far from the seaside park. It’s about ten minutes to walk along the road. It’s more convenient to go to other business districts from here, but because the traffic near here is not particularly good, so if you take a car, it’s not very good. There is no place to park. (Facilities) It is free to enter here, it is quite kind, you can also look at the schedule here, if you have the opportunity, come and listen, it is quite good, the night is also very beautiful. There were about 200 seats, but there was a rather tall building just behind the church that felt a bit abrupt.
