Xilai Temple covers an area of 2184 square meters. The temple is large in scale, simple and elegant, and is a typical Chinese Buddhist temple in Qinghai. The main building in the temple is built on the central axis facing north and south. It consists of two courtyards, including the mountain gate, the middle hall, the main hall and the east and west two-way hall. The courtyard is shaded by trees, and it is lined with scarlet pillars and stone green bucket arches in the hallway of the Buddha. The mountain gate is 3 wide, the deep one, the middle is the porch, the east and west are the four major diamonds. Enter the mountain gate for the front yard, facing the mountain gate for the middle hall, the east and west two rooms for the hall, the hall, the hall are hard mountain-style buildings, the middle hall for the Amitabha. The temple is 5 wide, 3 deep, and the top of the mountain is single-echel, standing on the platform. The temple is for the third Buddha, the middle is Sakyamuni, and the two sides are Wenshu, Maitreya, Anan, Kaye, disciples, and Bhichus. The two gables on the east and west are for the four Buddhas. The whole wall is carved in half-dimensional relief of landscape, characters, buildings, trees, rare birds, exotic animals, etc. The temple is well preserved, Xilai Temple is now Ledu County Museum of Historical and Cultural Relics, displaying the collection and unearthed precious cultural relics in Ledu area, as well as the 24 Ming Dynasty reel Buddha portraits left by the original monastery.
