Young Men's Christian Association Former Site Review

The former site of the YMCA in Kunming, near the famous scenic spot Golden Horse and Jade Chickenfang in Kunming, is a very inconspicuous building, and a little negligence will be missed. Founded in the early 1930s, YMCA perfectly blends Chinese and Western architectural styles and forms its own unique shape. Now it has been completely transformed into an art space for visitors to visit.

Yunnan. The former site of the Kunming Youth Christian Association was built on September 15, 1931 and completed in October 1933. The original site was in Wanzhong Street and moved to No. 4 Dingxin Street in 1935. There are 3 houses, with towers in the middle and buildings with "U" on both sides. The architectural style is a combination of Chinese and Western, Chinese doors and windows have European style stone window cover and door cover, the whole roof is covered with tiles, some rooms are separated by Chinese traditional wooden board walls, and some are separated by European-style sand and mud.
