Yuliang Dam is located in Yuliang Village, Huicheng Town, Huangshan City, Anhui Province. It was built in the Tang Dynasty and rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty. It is nearly 1400 years ago. It is one of the famous water conservancy projects in ancient China and the largest water conservancy project in ancient Jixian County. The status of Yuliang Dam is extremely important, one is flood discharge and drought prevention, the second is the interception of popular boats, and the third is the beautification of the environment. The rise and fall of the dam has been used as a symbol of the rise and fall of Huizhou in all dynasties. As an important pier for hundreds of years, the Yuliang Dam was a place where Hui merchants from the Ming and Qing Dynasties began to sail from here to undertake the prosperity of their families, and is a veritable "source of Hui merchants".
