The floor of the Drum Tower is square, composed of two parts, the tower, the height of 28 meters. The terrace is covered with blue bricks, 32 meters long, 10 meters high, four arches, the middle of the door are engraved with brick carvings, the east is "sunsheng", the west is "bincheng", the south is "yingxu", the north is "zhenyuan". The scorpion is hung on all sides, the east is "Nine heavy in the look", the west is "All the kingdoms of Xianbin", the south is "Sound teaching four Da", and the north is "Hushan view". The southeast corner of the Drum Tower is hung with Tang Dynasty copper bell 1 mouth, the casting process is exquisite, weighing about 600 kilograms, the bell tattoo decoration is divided into three layers, the upper layer is flying, the middle layer is Zhuque, Xuanwu, the lower layer is Qinglong, white tiger.

The northwest corner is built with stone steps, and the outer three-story and inner two-story wooden buildings are built on the terrace. The floor is wide and deep, and the bottom is 16 meters wide. The original four sides are: East "Jincheng Spring Rain", West "Yuguan Xiaoyue", South "Qilian Snow", North "Juyan Ancient Mu". The southeast corner of the building hangs Tang Zhong, and the "renovation of the Ganzhou suspension bridge and Jingyuan building monument" built by Guangxu in the north for 24 years. It is well preserved. Zhangye Drum Tower is a representative ancient building in Zhangye City, which has important value for studying the architectural system, architectural history and architectural technology of the Ming and Qing Drum Towers. In 2006, Zhangye Drum Tower was listed as the sixth batch of key cultural relics protection units in the country with the approval of the State Council.
