Zhengzhou University (Zhengda, Zhengzhou University), founded in 1956, is located in Zhengzhou, capital of Henan Province, is the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Henan Province "the Ministry of Cooperation and the Ministry of Cooperation to build universities", the national "world-class university construction university" "211 project" "one province and one school" key construction universities. In February 1956, the Central Higher School Planning Conference officially determined that the newly built university in Zhengzhou was named "Zhengzhou University". In July 2000, the former Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou University of Technology, Henan Medical University merged to form the new Zhengzhou University.
