Berliner Kartoffelhaus Review

I recommend trying the special pan nr 1 it'a the best deal in the haus. Also the location is great and the inside is amazing

We stopped for lunch here after a busy morning sightseeing. We both wanted to try some typical German cuisine and I opted for the knuckle of pork. It was massive!! I did attempt to do it justice however it was undercooked, exceptionally fatty, I do appreciate pork by its nature is fatty but not usually bloody in the canter. The wine was nice and served by the glass and my husband enjoyed an excellent beer. We did order potato wedge starters which didn't arrive. Thank goodness due to the size of the mains!!

From the moment we walked in the door with our two young children, the guy who 'greeted' us and ended up being our 'server' was rude and careless. Barely acknowledging us, responding like it's an inconvenience when asked about the beer selection and drinks for children - I don't think he could have spent less time in the vicinity of our table - and the restaurant was not busy at all. We were very polite to him, our boys were very well behaved and quiet, but we felt like we were somehow an inconvenience to his time...at work! The only reason we gave this place even two stars was because the food was really good. If you choose to check this place out, the server has glasses, short dark hair (to match his personality) w purple tips - choose to sit in a section other than his.
