Bonnie Prince Review

We took a team for a meal after our game. The service was excellent. They got us in and out pretty quickly. The only strange thing was that you had to pay a deposit beforehand of $5 a person. I thought this was strange and had not encountered this in Halifax. The portions are massive - think American chains. Everyone enjoyed their food and the prices were good. I had a panini and fries. The fries were not great which is my only complaint. The dessert was to die for - I had the caramel apple cheesecake which I ended up taking back to the hotel because I was so full.

Service was excellent. My husband had a hot turkey sandwich, which he thoroughly enjoyed (he tends to be fussy); and my brother and I had fish and chips, one of the best, I've had anywhere in a long time. The servings were large as well.

Visited the Bonnie because my wife and I had a craving for Nachos. We entered and the place was very clean with a nice atmosphere. While we waited to be seated we saw the dessert cooler and OMG all the cakes and pies looked amazing. Our server was awesome and made some recommendations however my wife and I ordered large nachos with chicken to share as this is what we came in for. Nachos were good however the chicken was not, the chicken was definitely a frozen precooked piece of chicken. If you ordered the Nachos skip the chicken. After the nachos we ordered desert and it was amazing. Overall very happy good food and service win an AMAZING dessert!

Lunch on Thursdays, this is the place to be. For $12 you get a huge plate of corn beef and Cabbage, which includes potatoes, carrots, turnip and cabbage. It's almost impossible to finish there is so much. I suggest going early for lunch because by 12:30 or 1 pm it might be all gone. It is so good. I took a helping to go as well. Service is fast and friendly and you really can't beat the price for the amount you get. Highly recommend this restaurant.
