Capitol Lounge Review

This is one of those places as I so often say that you need to take and appreciate for what it is, rather than expecting it or trying to force it to be something else. I love that this bar exists on this strip - that there are still places right along the row that have that old Washington feel. If you're looking for an upscale place or a chain joint or an amazing meal then this is not the place for you. But if you're looking for a great place for a drink, to watch a game, to host a party (they've got a great private room downstairs and an amazing events coordinator) or to people watch, then this is the spot. I've hosted two parties here and was pleasantly surprised by how well both went on the planning and guest experience side. The bar minimum is very reasonable and there's a chance that you might just run into kevin spacey if he's shooting that week in the downstairs room of this place, as I know he's frequented this spot before.
