It was less than 4 o'clock when I left the airport, and it was about to be dark. I went back to the hotel and put down my things and went out for food. I found a Hungarian restaurant and ate the long-awaited goulash.

This is a family-style restaurant on the mountainside of Fisherman's Castle. The owner is very enthusiastic. It only opens at 5 o'clock every day. Pay attention to only cash! Euros and Forin can be. Although the traffic is not convenient, but the Fisherman's Castle is just right, and it is not far from the chain bridge after eating. Foie gras is a signature dish in the store, using real foie gras instead of duck liver! So it will be more expensive, but super delicious! I sigh that the ingredients are really not a little bit worse, with homemade honey-brewed apples, it feels not greasy. Another sign is duck breast, the same is used for homemade sauce, more special, probably added foie gras and mushrooms. The roast leg of lamb is also very fragrant and tender, it is the most delicious meal in Hungary, worthy of some foreigners said hidden gem.

Friendly young staff, very attentive and eager to make you feel at home. The menu is limited - thankfully you know they will specialise in very cooked dishes. I have salmon followed by cheesecake. They have a good price menu during the week (not sure on weekends), and the price is very reasonable. A large shopping plaza near the restaurant (Mao elephant) 2 last stop tram 4 or 6 is not far from Selkarman subway station. Or take the scenic minibus (16) to get off at the end from the pest side.

After going to Buda for sightseeing, the visit was based on reviews and we were not disappointed. Our waiter Atilla was very helpful in recommending our wine and food. We had Hungarian dishes and it tasted great. We also had good red and white wines. A few hours in the afternoon on a rainy day. Definitely recommend if you are traveling in Buda.>
