The place is still very easy to find, and the traffic is convenient, the environment is also very elegant, suitable for the atmosphere

We hadn't been to this excellent family run Malaysian restaurant in some time, but it is an old favourite of ours. Having been travelling in Asia for some time, there are certain foods you get a longing for when you get home and, for us, dinner or lunch in Dublin's Langkawi Malaysian Restaurant oddly enough is one of them! We are not long back so we got ourselves back into Langkawi last weekend to get our fix. The food did not disappoint, as excellent as ever. We had a little bit of everything; rotti, prawn fritter, eurasian lamb, kicap john dory, devil chicken & it was all so tasty and fresh. There is a very good wine list covering a wide price range. The service is second to none, friendly & efficient, and if you have not been previously they will guide you on menu food choice and spiciness. Advance booking for weekends in particular might be advisable to avoid disappointment, but they do take walk ins. While I am biased & love Malaysian food, I can't recommend Langkawi enough, for couples, family occasions, groups of colleagues or friends - it can cater for the lot. Lunch or dinner both excellent. Enjoy!

We went back again with some friends having had a great experience the last time . Well if it is possible it got better, firstly the service was A1, the starters ( I eat the prawn dish in batter) were excellent, my main course was the lamb dish whilst my wife had John Dory both with rice. The selection of value for money wines was as good as you would get anywhere. The overall meal including wine was exceptional value. A must visit Malaysian emporium . Will be back again soon.

Enjoyed a very pleasant evening eating authentic Malaysian food. The food was delicious and the ambience lovely but what really made our evening special was the attentive staff, particularly Clare. I had the wonderful 'Devils Curry' which was beautiful and devilishly hot! My wife is vegetarian and although the menu does not have an extensive vegetation section (not surprising in a Malaysian restaurant) Clare was incredibly helpful with her suggestions even suggesting that the choices my wife made may be a bit on the 'dry' side suggesting she order a different dish with a sauce (she ordered a number of side dishes). Many restaurants would just take the order without thinking so this we found surprisingly nice. Anyway, would definitely recommend a visit for the food and pleasant staff.

I went with a friend last Saturday night. The restaurant decor and service were fine but the meal was a tremendous disappointment. The food was strange, not like Malaysian food I have had anywhere else. It tasted as if it had been sitting around for a long time and the meat was dried up and tough. Why it has had such good reviews I do not know. The meal was about 50 euro each for a starter and main and half a bottle of wine. The previous night we spent the exact same amount on Blooms Brassiere across the road where we had a delightful meal and delightful service. we thought the restaurant expensive, poor food which we did not finish
