I've eaten here before. It's a cute place with a small but interesting cafe menu. It's got a few tables and chairs outside and as it was a sunny, spring day - that was lovely. They're way too close together, though! I felt like I was on a date with the couple next to me. To be honest, the food was not great. I ordered the goats cheese salad which was pretty good except the leaf was too old and wilted. I put it down to weekend staff but they need to watch that kind of thing. A salad is 90% leaf so it needs to be nice and fresh. I would go again though - it's a nice little spot.

A MUST DO for everyone visiting Capitol Hill! I have been going to Le Bon Cafe since it first opened 25 years ago and I lived in the neighborhood. At that time, there were no good coffee shops that served lattes and espresso - no Starbucks. Le Bon Cafe was a happy discovery for my husband and I, recent transplants from New Orleans, who missed the cafes on every corner there. Though I moved away 19 years ago, I still make it a point to have a fresh croissant and latte when I visit DC each year - most recently to visit my daughter in college. It is still the charming, attentive oasis on the Hill that offers a variety of delicious sandwiches, salads, coffees and pastries.

Stopped in for a quick iced coffee to go. Very good! Had a nice variety of pastries and breakfast items as well! Small, but quaint, with additional seating outside.
