One of my favorite Kaiseki restaurants in Kyoto (We've been here twice), The restaurant/family has a long lineage of serving Emperors and heads of state. The owner showed us a long scroll where the menus served to royalty dated back 100s of years. On both occasions we sat on Tatami mats, I am not sure if they have western style table chairs. Dinner lasted over two hours. Everything is prepared with high detail. I dined with my family including my son who was 8 years old (He eats everything). The staff are very pleasant, They do not speak English, but you can arrange your dinner with the hotel and they will explain all the details. On our second visit I paid an additional fee to have the Chef show us an old tradition of carving fish... In the old days chefs were not allowed to touch the Emperor's food with their hands so they needed to be skilled knife users. With a Sharp knife and a set of Steel Hashi he carved an entire fish without touching it once! really nice to see. This is a private show so you and your guests get front Row. The chef called my son over and took a picture with him. Yes I would go back, no doubt, just have to save up on ¥. Credit cards are accepted, The restaurant is family friendly to the extent that your Kids eat everything, three quarters of the way and my son was full but they kept bringing him food. He had three dishes at one point, we ended up having to help him to not waste the food.

Although it is a bit difficult to find, and it took a little time to come over, but the overall feeling is worth trying this time. First of all, the restaurant has a long history. From this level, it is worth visiting. In addition, she must have existed for so long. There is a reason, the taste of the dishes is particularly good.

Wanguilou is a Japanese restaurant selected by Trip.com as a star-rated food forest. I want to highly recommend the sashimi platter here. Almost every table must be ordered. Other dishes taste very good, mainly fresh ingredients.

It is a Michelin two-star restaurant. It is reported that the boss of his ancestors was once the imperial chef of Fengchen Xiuji. At present, he is the tenth generation of shopkeeper Xiaoxi Jiangqing. So a set of dishes is not only the deliciousness of the dishes, but the elegance of the taste. His home porcelain and plate decoration are very exquisite and intoxicating! Wanguilou, currently eating in Kyoto is a very cost-effective restaurant!

A Japanese restaurant in a very tall place. The tall refers to the location, store decoration, food and service, of course, and the price. Eating Japanese food in Japan is definitely not a casual thing. This price is expensive, this per capita makes people sweat! Shrimps are too much like, one bite, anyway, to the Japanese food store must order, they handled too much too beautiful.

Sushi is very good and the fish seeds are very fresh. We booked here in advance because a friend and I introduced this store, so I decided to try it. It really deserves its reputation. You get what you pay for.
