A completely informal, relaxed and totally unpretentious family establishment which, precisely because of that, makes it such a great experience. If you are a culinary snob then I am afraid this place is unlikely to be for you. No edible flowers or fancy swirls on your plate to be seen here! Its appeal is a laid back friendliness but served up with fantastic quality food made from the freshest local ingredients. It has the feel of being invited guests to eat in their own home. This is a family run place - husband Robbie is the chef, while wife Britta is front of house and host. Even the owners young children play their part in bringing out some of the courses. Its just super. On our first visit we chose from the Specials menu and 2 of us - myself included - had the had beef fillet in chianti sauce. All i can say is wow! Beautifully tender and tasty and the sauce was to die for. On our second visit we shared a beautiful florentine steak. The desserts were equally delicious. Wonderful food, wonderful people, wonderful experience!
