Pollo Tropical is a Florida chain of quick service restaurants that started in south Florida and has expanded to Texas, Tenessee, and Georgia. The decor is very Carribean, with white beamed hurricane shutters, turqouise, orange, yellow, and lime green accents, and a tile beige floor. If you like the decor style of Bahama Breeze restaurants, but the prices make you go less often than you would like to, then Pollo Tropical would be a good option. They cook their chicken fresh on a flame grill that you can see right over the shoulder of your cashier. The typical sides offered are plantains, black beans, white or brown rice, fries, and salad. The condiments are various salsas and barbeque sauces that can be mild, sweet, or spicy. I like coming here for lunch since it won't break my caloric food allowance numbers the way a typical Caribbean restaurant would, I can get a complete meal for around $10, and its fresh. If you see a location along your travels in Orlando and want to try some cultural flavors you won't have the opportunity to at home, then give this place a try.

Really like pollo tropical but this location was filthy and extremely slow service. We went inside planning to eat there but after seeing how busy it was and how dirty the tables were we decided to do take out. Waited 10 mins in line then another 15-20 minutes just to get our food because they kept messing up the other orders before ours. After getting back to our hotel there was hair in the food.
