We really enjoyed a great meal here and the price was reasonable. But as many people suggested, there was nothing super impressive about the food. But definitely not disappointed, as did many other commenters. I think the people who gave bad reviews on TripAdvisor were starting to look a little inappropriate for Sparita. I agree with those in town who feel this is the best place to cook in Rome but I also have to say that Roman cooking is essentially simple and not innovative. (Just 15 years ago, the travel guide said "don't go to Rome specifically for food") Today, they have cooking methods in various regions, represented by Italy's excellent cooking methods, "Roman cooking" is the simplest of them - to be precise, It is entirely focused on the superiority of basic ingredients and pre-cooking preparation. We give Sparita a perfect score on both counts, even if it is just a oxtail tomato. If you want steak, the result is a oxtail, don't blame the restaurant, next time you can bring a menu translator - will speak your language and not the waiter's job! Service is actually a bit rude, not human. As for the bill, it is a pity that, as many others have already said, there are only three words on it, "pay in cash". However, due to the TV advertising effect, the restaurant is simply bursting, and the people are too noisy at the door to compete to come in. Let them rest for a while, book in advance and expect you to enjoy the simplest ingredients prepared in the most gorgeous way. Based on that, it’s really wonderful and, yes, it’s the best meal we’ve had in Rome in a week!
