This restaurant is one Michelin star, named The Royal Oak. It is one of the four Michelin restaurants in our village (two Michelin Samsung, two Michelin one star). It is owned by our village's famous TV host, journalist, writer, neighbor Sir Michael Parkinson CBE. This near-failed restaurant opened in 2001 after renovation. Operated by his son. In 2010 he was eligible for a Michelin star. It is a British cuisine. The quality of the dishes is excellent. Service is good, the waiters are mostly foreign. In summer, it is not too late to go to the back garden for a beer before dining.
