The Full Moon Review

We rolled into this pub on Saturday between The City Arms and The Westgate... and found ourselves the only people there. Maybe that ferocious looking bouncer on the door explains the lack of clientelle. Lovely young lady behind the bar and excellent music playing, great interior decor, 7" singles plastered around the tops of the walls.

Been enjoying this place a lot over the years. Great venue. Along with Gw Di Hw and the Globe, it helps bring hope to Cardiff nightlife. Saw Dr Syntax there this time. They are often getting performers who seem too big for this venue. Think that's part of the charm. Like Cardiff's tavern club of the modern era. A good mix of styles and artists from near and far. Great staff and booze (booze especially good downstairs)

We were in town for the gruff rhys gig and we'd done our research and this looked the best on offer. Bands, djs and free entry. The bands were cool and the dj kept everyone dancing to the early hours. The 'green s***' drink was actually quite nice too!
