This has got to be one of the oldest pubs in Dubai. It is certainly one of the best. I remember coming here in the very late 80’s when I would travel to Dubai from London where I was based. My company (first serious job) would keep me at the InterCon Creek (now the Radisson), which was rather good of them, as it was one of the best hotels in Dubai at the time. So finding the Pub located at the same hotel I was staying was, well, let's call it a happy convenience. I come back every now and then with my food guru, Old School Dubai, for a pint or two, but mainly to reminisce. The place hasn’t changed much, still very old English pub in look, feel and, believe it or not, smell. I used to eat here quite often. They used to do an excellent curry. I don’t know if they still serve it now (note to self to check on that) but judging from how little has changed, they probably do. At the end of the day, it’s the feeling you walk out with which will either bring you back or not. The fact that I’ve been coming back here for over 25 years – OMG! – says it all.
