Thomsons offers a full buffet and kitchen that serves up great breakfast options. While I love the classics, this spot offers several healthy options. The staff is great and your cup or glass never sits empty. You gotta eat here, as they say.

The second time I went, the environment is very good. If you make an appointment in advance to see the sea view, the best selling point is the sea view and fire sushi. Service is very good, if it is night

We went early on Saturday evening after enjoying a drink by the fireplace in the lounge (it was miserable outside). Server was very helpful in providing advice and we settled for the mushroom panzerotti and miso almond butter baked salmon. Both portions were well above average in size and delicious. The panzerotti dough was very light which was refreshing while the lemon and soy blueberry sauce under the salmon was a hit. The restaurant is very large which allowed for intimacy as other guests were seated in different part. A nice evening.

    4/5Excellent

We had brunch there on Father's Day. They were very busy. The food quality was excellent but there were not a lot of choices. I've been to other brunch restaurants at the same price range but they offered more choices.

Nine of us had brunch here after a children's recital downtown. There were three generations of us ranging in age from 5 to 70, with different tastes and preferences (and allergies). From the first time we sat down to the moment we left, we were in good hands. The service was impeccable. Coffee, tea and juices came quickly and refills were plentiful. There were also a couple of brunch items that we had to order from our waitress (bennies and waffles..my son had a gluten free benny that way). Not the largest buffet selection that I have seen, but high in quality and a great selection in variety. Two different soups, a small dim sum steamer with two different dim sums (har gow and shae mai, if you were asking), steamed shrimp and mussels along with salads, charcuterie items and desserts were in the bar area. The only complaint I have is that, since my wife is allergic to mussels, she could not have any shrimp since the mussels were placed on top of the shrimp. There were a number of pastries and cereal type items which I didn't really look at being a meat and more meat kind of guy. But, the butter croissants were amazing! The hot food, besides the waffles and the bennies, consisted of an omelet station, scrambled eggs, really nice bacon and tasty sausages. Fried peppers, fried potatoes and asparagus were the breakfast sides and a carving of tasty roast beef rounded out the hot buffet offering. My other quibble about this place is the layout of the buffet itself. There was always a jam up at the omelet stations, which was right at the start of the hot buffet line, so that, even if all you wanted was the roast beef or the sausages, you had to politely ask the people waiting for omelets to pass by. Great food, good variety and super service... can you ask any more?
