Tsukiji Uoichi Review

A very cost-effective Japanese food store in Colombo, with a variety of fixed meals, and a special set meal for children is very intimate. Sushi is very interesting to add local characteristics, with free cabbage taste.

This is a gem of a restaurant, hidden in the clock Tower of the Independence Arcade. There is no signage but it's not hard to find. Beautiful ambience, friendly staff and good service. The food is great. If you sit at the counter you can watch the food being prepared. The chairs are not low Japanese style but heavy and hard to move. The prices are very high and they add almost 30% as Service charge and taxes. Expect to pay around Rs 5,000 per head which includes drinks 400/-, starters 600/- Main 3,000/- and dessert 1,000/- No toilet and no lift

More distinctive is that there are two long wooden blocks on each table. If you need a waiter, you don't need to shout loudly, only a light tap on two pieces of wood, and the crisp sound will call the waiter. When I paid after dinner, although the service fee was included in the menu, the teacher insisted that I add some tips to the waiter, saying that they were low paid and needed to take care of them. Jiumu's place, finally made a trip, Japanese fish one, TSUKIJI UOICHI, big fast, recommended egg rolls, chicken is a bit fishy, may be too cold when eaten, it may be better to eat while hot. Sushi is delicious
