Photos of Treasure Island

 Treasure Island, an artificial island between San Francisco and Oakland, is accessible through the Bay Bridge and the small Yerba Buena Island it connects to. While most visitors know it as the location of the Treasure Island Music Festival and the annual Wine-fest, it is also an emerging neighborhood of San Francisco, with its own year-round residents. During World War II, part of Treasure Island was a naval base and a training center for nuclear decontamination. Today, its claim to fame is the breathtaking views of San Francisco and the Bay Area.
