Yu Garden was originally a private garden in the Ming Dynasty. Pan Yunduan, the owner of the garden, was a minister of Sichuan Province, and his father, Pan Enguan, went to the Duchayuan to the left of the imperial history and the criminal department. Pan En's old resignation, in order to let his father enjoy his old age, Pan Yunduan built Yu Garden after more than 20 years of hard work, in the middle and late Ming Dynasty was recognized as "the southeast garden crown". Yu Garden has a typical Jiangnan garden style, reflecting the artistic style of the southern gardens of the Ming and Qing generations of "quiet and beautiful, exquisite and exquisite". The garden also preserves a considerable number of ancient trees and famous trees and Ming and Qing furniture, celebrity calligraphy and painting, mud-plastic brick carvings, and forehead-linked cultural relics. It is a rich collection of traditional Chinese culture and art.

The building is very distinctive, due to the wet environment, moss on the road is everywhere, the sculptures on the roof are lifelike, and there are several black dragons hovering on the walls. If you live here, I am afraid you will get lost.

Yu Garden is located at No. 168 Fuyou Road, Huangpu District, Shanghai, covering an area of about 30 mu. It was built in the Ming Dynasty as a private garden. It was opened to the public in 1961 and is now a national scenic spot. The Huijing Building and Jiushi Temple in the park are in the center, and the panoramic view is climbed to the building; the lake center pavilion connects the two sides of the stone Jiuqu Bridge. But the scenic spot is chaotic because of the holiday management! People can't walk in a mess! The security guards are standing there and do not maintain order! There is not even a road sign in the park! But the view is still good
