Photos of Rabin Square

Rabin Square, formerly known as Tel Aviv Kings Square, is not large in size. It is located in front of the office building of Tel Aviv City Hall, not far from the Chinese Embassy in Israel. On November 4, 1995, former Israeli Prime Minister Rabin attended a peace conference held by the Israeli Labor Party here. Rabin was assassinated as he left the venue after the conference. He was killed by the criminal bullet of the Jewish far-right Amir. . After Rabin's death, the whole nation of Israel fell into mourning, and the Israeli government decided to rename Tel Aviv's King's Square to Rabin's Square. Since then, every year on November 4th, groups of Israelis have come to Rabin Square to light candles and lay flowers to commemorate the Israeli Prime Minister who dedicated his life to peace in the Middle East. There is a square memorial cemetery surrounded by black granite. This is an unremarkable monument to ordinary people, but beneath this monument is buried the great peace warrior Rabin.
