Came here while visiting DC and staying in a rental apartment nearby. Lovely place with a relaxed atmosphere. Service was exceptional- our waitress was so friendly and welcoming. We all just went straight for main courses; fish tacos, jambalaya risotto and crab. Really fresh, tasty food for a good price. Recommend!

Private function with Realtor.com. REALTORs, AEs, EXECs and Vendors filled this place to the brim and this group can party. DJ spun great Motown and Rock keeping the dance floor hopping. Creative characters from the Bond cast joined in. Yes Bond, James Bond. And the heaters on the roof-top level kept everyone toasty. Great party!

A local friend recommended to come over for snacks. The taste is very good. The small snacks inside are more local, sweet, not very big, poached egg chicken tastes good, and the quality is cheap.

I had noticed the corner restaurant off of U street several times as I was driving by. Last Friday, after happy hour drinks at another neighborhood place, my friends and I decided to try out Shaw&#39;s Tavern, as it was a beautiful night and they had an outdoor patio. I made a reservation online and we headed there. After a short wait, we were seated at a table on the patio. So nice! The food was delicious and the service friendly. The menu was full of appealing choices, even for a group of very picky eaters ( a vegan, a vegetarian and a carnivore on a diet!). We enjoyed wine with dinner and felt we were transported somewhere in Europe- was it the beautiful terrace with the twinkling lights? Not sure. But I can&#39;t wait to go back.

I&#39;ve been to Shaw&#39;s Tavern several times for brunch. They have lots of options; the steak and eggs and eggvocado(an egg on top of an avocado) are my favorites. They have a bottomless mimosa that is always fun to take advantage of for a reasonable price. The staff is friendly and very attentive. I don&#39;t think I&#39;ve ever had bad service. The have a nice sized patio if you want to sit outside. For a weekend brunch I would recommend making a reservation. If it&#39;s just you or one other person you can usually find a seat at the bar.
