Day 1 Gude Temple->Hankou Beach->Wuhan Tiandi Plaza->Lihuangpi Rd->Bagong House->Xian'an Fang->Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street->Qingchuan Pavilion Park

The Gude Temple is located at Huangpu road in Hankou of Wuhan. Built in the 3rd year of Emperor Guangxu (1877) in the Qing Dynasty, it remains an active temple to this day. In the courtyard, there is a four-faced Buddha brought from Thailand. Its four faces represent mercy, love, fraternity and justice. Yuantongbao Temple is the core building of the temple. It is modeled after the Ananda Temple in Myanmar, which gives it an exotic style. The treasure hall is quiet and serene, and the sun shines through the doors and windows, sacred and peaceful.

Address:No. 74, Shanglupo Road, Huangpu Street, Jiang'an District, Wuhan

Business hours:Open tomorrow at 8:30 AM–4:30 PM (admission ends at 4:00 PM)

Attraction reviews:

Gude Temple, located at No. 74, Landslide, Huangpu Road, Hankou, Wuhan, Hubei Province, was founded by Long Xi in 1877, originally named Gude Thatched Hut. Between 1914 and 1919, the temple was expanded twice by its abbot, Chang Hong, and renamed Gude Temple, which means "to cherish the ancients and to save all with virtue." The name was inscribed on a plaque by Li Yuanhong himself. The temple covers nearly 30,000 square meters, with a building area of nearly 8,000 square meters. It blends European and Asian religious architectural features, integrating the three major Buddhist schools of Mahayana, Hinayana, and Tibetan Buddhism. This is a rare sight among Chinese Buddhist temples, and is considered "a great wonder of Buddhist sites" and "the greatest wonder of Chinese Buddhist temples." It holds high architectural, cultural, and historical research value. Along with Guiyuan Temple, Baotong Temple, and Lianxi Temple, it is considered one of the four great Buddhist monasteries in Wuhan.

The Hankou Riverbank is a landmark Wuhan tourist destination that has stood witness to a large portion of Wuhan's history. On one side of the riverbank is a group of centuries-old buildings in a number of styles, including Jianghan Mansion, and the former German Consulate. On the other side of the riverbank is an open riverfront park where denizens of Wuhan can rest by the waterside. In the fall, the riverbank is covered in a thick blanket of beautiful reeds.

Address:No. 1, Jiangtan Avenue, Jiang'an District, Wuhan

Business hours:Open year-round, 24/7

Attraction reviews:

A gentle evening breeze, carrying the unique moisture of the Yangtze River, brushed against the gunwale as the cruise ship slowly departed the dock, gradually unfolding the night of Wuhan. On the river, shimmering waves meandered along the wake of the ship, like scattered diamonds, reflecting the lights that lit up one after another on both banks—the eaves of the Yellow Crane Tower were adorned with a warm yellow halo, like a jade palace floating in the night; the neon lights along the riverbank stretched along the shoreline, intertwining with the lights of the rows of buildings on the opposite bank, weaving a flowing galaxy of light and shadow.

Like Shanghai Xintiandi, Wuhan Tiandi, which is close to Hankou River Beach, is a characteristic block transformed from old buildings. Strolling on the pedestrian path, the small red-brick Western-style buildings, old wooden windows, antique blue bricks, and wooden or bamboo chairs placed outdoors all exude a strong nostalgic atmosphere. Many young people like to come here to take pictures.

Wuhan Tiandi brings together delicacies from all over the world. Not only can you eat the new element restaurant opened by tennis queen Li Na, but also the exquisite Shanghai dim sum restaurant Nan Xiaoguan, the creative Sichuan restaurant Sa Jiao, and the must-eat Bali lobster and Yitang lobster in Jiangcheng in summer. In addition to dining venues, a fashion shopping center has been built here-Yifang Shopping Center, which has more than 300 global fashion brands, and integrates international cuisine, IMAX theaters, LIFESTYLE bookstores, children's experience entertainment and family consumption, etc., to convey the front-end fashion spirit.

Lihuangpi Road is located in Jiang'an District, Wuhan City, between Yanjiang Avenue and Zhongshan Avenue. Li Huangpi Road is 604 meters long and was built in 1900. Lihuangpi Road is a famous "slow life" neighborhood in Wuhan. It is a very literary and retro street, and it is a continuation of the spirit and temperament of Hankou. On both sides of the street, there are 17 old sites, including SF Express, the former site of Wanguo Hospital, the former site of Daosheng Bank, the former site of the Russian patrol house, and the former site of the US Navy YMCA. These buildings with different styles have their own stories behind them. The sense of history of the old block and the warm atmosphere of literature and art of various cafes are intertwined, making countless young people yearn and indulge with its unique tranquility and romance. The characteristic shops and cafes of each bureau make people feel as if they have traveled back to the old city time more than a hundred years ago. It is a good place to relax and spend time.

Attraction reviews:

When traveling to Wuhan, I came to the famous Lihuangpi Road. Lihuangpi Road is located in Jiang'an District. It is a street with historical and cultural heritage. It is one of the most well-preserved European-style architectural blocks in Wuhan. It is known as "one of the most beautiful historical and cultural blocks in China" and "the most literary old street in Wuhan". These streets are about 600 meters long, but there are many similar ones around, and the whole area can also be called a historical block.

The Bagong House is a Russian-style apartment built in 1910, located on Poyang Street, Jiang'an District, Wuhan. The Bagong house was funded by the Russian businessman Banov, designed by the Russians, and constructed by the Guangchang Construction Factory. The apartment covers an area of nearly 5,000 square meters, is five stories high, and has a total of 220 rooms. The whole apartment is divided into "big bus" and "mini bus", with a triangular patio. The exterior walls are clear red bricks, and the interiors use wooden floors, wooden apron, and a fireplace for heating.

Address:Poyang St, Jiangan Qu, Wuhan Shi, Hubei Sheng, China

Business hours:Open year-round, 24/7

Attraction reviews:

As the core landmark of Wuhan Hankou Historical and Cultural District, Bagong House has outstanding highlights, which can be summarized from the following aspects: 1. **Unique "giant ship" triangular building:** * **Visual shock:** It is a modern large-scale apartment building with acute triangle (ship shape) that is extremely rare in Wuhan and even in the whole country. It has a huge volume and unique shape, like a giant ship anchored at the street corner, with great visual impact and recognition. * **Exquisite design:** The triangular plane design cleverly adapts to the angle terrain of the two roads in the Russian Concession at that time (the intersection of Poyang Street, Lihuangpi Road and Dongting Street), and is a model of the perfect combination of architecture and environment. 2. **Classic Russian "Arcadia" style representative:** * **Red brick art:** The whole body is built with clear red bricks, with warm and heavy colors. It is a typical representative of early modern building materials in Hankou, showing a strong Russian style. * **Exquisite details:** The building facade is decorated with exquisite brickwork, arched doors and windows, iron balcony railings, etc. The details are exquisite, reflecting the high level of craftsmanship and aesthetics at that time. 3. **Profound historical heritage and celebrity imprints:** * **Prominent builders:** It was funded and built by the Banov brothers, the boss of the Russian Fuchang Foreign Company, Russian aristocrats, and cousins of Tsar Nicholas II (construction started in 1901 and completed in 1910), and is a witness to foreign capital after the opening of Hankou. * **Epigram of the changes of the times:** From the initial luxury apartments (mainly for foreign senior staff and wealthy businessmen to live in), to later becoming ordinary houses, and then to the new rebirth today, it itself is a condensed history of Hankou's modern urban development and the rise and fall of the concessions. 4. **Excellent geographical location and city landmark:** * **"Heart of the City":** Located in the core area of the former Russian Concession in Hankou, at the intersection of Poyang Street, Dongting Street, Lanling Road and Lihuangpi Road, it is the absolute core node and geographical center of the historical and cultural style area of Hankou. * **Gateway to the style area:** It stands like a magnificent "city gate" at the main entrance to famous historical and cultural blocks such as Lihuangpi Road. It is the starting point and symbol for tourists to explore the old concession in Hankou. 5. **Successful example of historical building protection and revitalization:** * **Repair the old as it was:** After careful renovation, the original historical appearance (red brick exterior walls, iron balconies, internal stairs, etc.) has been preserved to the greatest extent, restoring its historical style. * **Functional rebirth:** After the transformation, it is no longer a simple tourist attraction, but a complex historical and cultural landmark that **integrates boutique hotels, cultural and art spaces, and characteristic businesses (coffee, restaurants, cultural and creative industries, exhibitions)**. Visitors can "live in history" and experience the charm of the building in more depth. * **Rebirth of vitality: ** Becoming the most popular online celebrity check-in spot and fashion consumption spot in Wuhan

Xiang'anfang is a neighborhood full of historical charm and cultural heritage. As one of the local historical and cultural protection areas, Xian'anfang attracts many tourists and history enthusiasts with its unique architectural style and rich historical relics. Most of the buildings in the neighborhood are traditional Han dwellings, with blue bricks and gray tiles, carved beams and painted buildings, showing an elegant Chinese architectural style. Many buildings retain exquisite wood carvings and stone carvings, reflecting superb craftsmanship and unique cultural connotations. Walking in Xian'anfang, tourists can feel the strong historical atmosphere. The old buildings and quaint shops on both sides of the street make people feel as if they are in the past. Qingchuan Pavilion is located on Hanyang's Tortoise Mountain and faces the Yangtze River, across the river from the Yellow Crane Tower. Qingchuan Pavilion was built in the Ming Dynasty and was named after the Tang Dynasty poet Cui Wei. The pavilion as it exists today was rebuilt in the 1980s according to historical photos. The scenic area consists of three main buildings: Qingchuan Pavilion, Wuhan Dayu's Palace, and Tiemenguan. There are also a number of other attractions such as various stone tablets and monuments, decorated archways, and cloisters, all rich in classical Chinese charm. It is very pleasant to climb up to the pavilion, feel the wind from the river, and enjoy the view of the river. The classical architecture and the greenery here complement each other perfectly, and the beautiful scenery has caused this to become a popular spot for wedding pictures in Wuhan.

Address:No. 86, Xima Chang Street, Hanyang District, Wuhan

Business hours:Opening hours TBD

Attraction reviews:

Qingchuan Pavilion is located on the riverbank and is one of Wuhan's famous historical sites. The entire scenic area is not large and focuses on history and culture. Qingchuan Pavilion faces the Yangtze River, and from the pavilion, you can see the Yangtze River Bridge.
