Roy is a physician, and Lauri was in commercial real estate, so our adventure in vacation rentals started when we bought a place where we could travel with our beloved Rottweilers. We bought our first vacation rental in Julian, CA, and loved it so much we decided to open it to other dog-loving travelers who also wanted a getaway. The home was soon booked up, a movie was filmed on-site, and we loved the fact that many guests returned on a regular basis to enjoy the home we loved so much. Since then, we have stayed in many vacation rentals, with and without our dogs, and have used our stays to develop best practices to welcome our guests on their vacations. Our passion is to create amazing homes that our guests will love: An amazing location, unique and stylish decor, superb comfort, a calming ambiance, and fun for the whole group. From anniversaries to family reunions and milestone birthdays, it is our honor and privilege to help our guests with their vacation accommodations. Our homes reflect all of the happy vibes from family reunions and good times that our guests have enjoyed. We cherish all of the collective memories. The great feedback from our guests drives our passion to create the best experience possible for them. We work hard to provide a unique and special vacation rental experience for our guests, because we believe spending time and making memories with the people who are important in your life is what matters most. We love to hear from our guests who have had memorable vacations in our homes, as well as welcoming them back for repeat visits over the years. We look forward to welcoming you soon! Where else can you have so many uniquely wonderful attraction, both natural and man-made, in one location? You can easily stay here a week, never get in your car, and not run out of things to do. However, a short drive over the bridge is Newport proper, with the fabulous Nye Beach area. Fifteen minutes up the coast is Depoe Bay, a charming whale watching town (there is a pod of year-round whale residents) that boasts the world's smallest harbor. Lincoln City is 30 minutes to the north. To the south are the lovely towns of Waldport, Yachats and Florence. Newport's beloved sea lions can be heard from the house (and occasionally swimming by) and pods of dolphins and Orcas are not uncommon. Bald eagles can also be seen here, along with osprey and other sea birds. Like to fish? Dungeness crabs and razor clams are across the street, and the jetty is a great fishing spot as well. There is also a free public fishing pier within a two minute walk, as well as a boat launch. There is Boat or RV parking at the home. This home was the personal residence of the developer who built this small waterfront development. The home is almost twice as large than the other units, with an oversized lot that can accommodate boat or RV parking.
